Ale The oldest style of beer that dates back to antiquity. Ales are made with a warm temperature fermentation for a short period of time with top-fermenting yeast.

Lager A newer style of beer. Lagers ferment for a long time at a low temperature with bottom-fermenting yeasts. Most popular in European countries; Czechia, Germany, Netherlands and Canada.

Porter A type of Ale, known for their dark black color and roasted malt aromas and notes.

Stout A type of Ale, known for their dark colors and roasted flavors like bitter coffees. They are characterized by a thick creamy head.

Blonde Ale A easy drinking beer perfect for summer time festivities. A light malt sweetness with a trace of hops for aroma with light color and clear body.

Brown Ale Ranges in color from amber to brown, with chocolate, caramel, citrus and nutty notes. The flavor and aroma are greatly affected by their country of origin.

Pale Ale An English style of Ale. Known for its copper color and fruity aroma that pairs well with a spicy food complement. An American Pale Ale is a hybrid of the English Pale Ale but are happier.

India Pale Ale Known as a British Pale Ale brewed with extra hops. Depending on the style of hops used, IPA’s may have fruity citrus flavors or resin and pine.

Wheat Known as an easy-drinking, light style of beer with soft, smooth flavors and a hazy body. Hefeweizen is a popular style.

Pilsner Known as a subset of Pilsner distinguished by its water, which varies from neutral to hard. Pilsners are the happiest larger with dry, slightly bitter flavor with a light golden color, clear body and crisp finish.

Sour Ale Known as an ancient style of beer that has regained popularity in recent years. Sour Ales are crafted from wild yeasts known for tart tang that pairs well with tropical fruit and spices. Lambics also known as Belgian sour beers mixed with fruit. Goses also known as a German sour beer made with coriander and sea salt. Flanders also known as a Belgian sour beer fermented in wood tanks.
