I am sure some books can be written about behind-the-scenes shenanigans as the wedding day approaches and happens from wedding coordinators and their clients. My good friend, Courtney Arensdorf, has been in the catering and wedding coordinating for nearly thirty years and recalls playing referee and counselor a few times to get to the end result.

Now as a private wedding consultant for close friends and family, Courtney has a list of essential ideas to consider before making the big decisions; set the budget, be flexible, and decor can be easily made to cut costs with #diy or #pinterest projects, to name a few. She also recommends matching the food and drink to the theme, tasting the menu and cake, and cost-saving tips for the cake. When should you have the Champagne Toast?
