It all begins with the basics

Basic cooking, basic swimming, basic golf, you name it we all begin at a basic level. And tasting wine should be no different. My latest video, “Basic Wine Tasting,” begins with grapes in the vineyard and the climate. After that, the grape is manipulated in the winery and then aged for an indiscretionary amount of time until the winemaker feels it has evolved into a beautiful wine. Then, we move into purchasing, what style to buy, how to open the bottle, the proper serving temperature, and what to pair the wine with once we have chosen the perfect bottle.
