Tree Trimming Traditions 27 Years Strong
Episode #5, Provisions and Libations Podcast on the Mission Matters Network, covers the details of a family tradition that has evolved and grown since its humble beginnings 27 years ago. Listen as Ray Arensdorf guides us through the journey of this annual tradition and the dishes he has prepared for the evening alongside his brother that stems from a love of eating fish. As Ray eloquently states, he prepares for the evening by conducting product research while dining out and then humbly imitates the art of making Sushi. A memorable dish to create has been a Spicy Baked Scallop Roll served with a Sake Bomb and the table tapping to add to the festivities of the evening. The Ribs portion of the meal made by Merikay offers a complement to those guests who prefer not to eat fish.
As the night winds down, the lights go out in the house for the lighting of the tree that has been trimmed by all the guests as they arrive for the party. Once the angel has been placed on the top of the tree, everyone joins in to sing Silent Night, and with a nod from the host, the lights are plugged in, and the festivities begin again. Kanpai! to a full and rich night!!
